Only a Couple of Weeks Until the Children’s Musical Theater Auditions!
There are only a couple weeks left until auditions open for the Children’s Musical Theater Rising Stars and Main Stage performances! See below for specific details.
Thoroughly Modern Millie: Online registration opens on April 27th and auditions will be held May 5th & 6th for children ages 10-14.
Pinocchio: Online registration opens on May 18th and auditions will be held May 26th and 27th for children ages 6-9.
American Idiot: Online registration opens on May 11th and auditions will be held May 18th and 19th for young adults ages 14-20.
Note that only those in high school may participate in the Main Stage show “American Idiot,” if students are 14 years of age but are still in the 8th grade, they will participate in either “Thoroughly Modern Millie” or “Pinocchio.”
Not sure what to expect on audition day? No problem. The whole process may take a few hours and consists of the following steps:
- Register online (before audition day)
- Parent and child attend an informational session
- Review rehearsal calendar
- Audition
- In groups of 10 performers will learn and perform choreography, sing a prepared song, and read a series of lines as provided in the audition packet
- Final Call-backs will be announced at the end of auditions
